Inputs are unbalanced via 3.5mm stereo jacks whilst the outputs are all balanced and share individual RJ45 sockets with a control pair and DC power for use with remote outlets and control panels.
The unit is also controlled via RS232 or PodNet with the current output assignments shown on the front panel LCD.
Wall, Euro and Touch Podules can be used for control all connected via PodNet using a single Cat5 loop to allow remote selection of input sources and control over volume from individual rooms or centrally. The Matrix 2 also incorporates a number of unique features expanding its abilities beyond simple audio switching.
The eight Cat5 outputs can be connected to a number of different panels dependent upon the required application. Each requires a single Cat5 cable from the matrix to the panel. 25mm modules use screw terminals for connection whilst 50mm modules use RJ45 sockets. |
