Harper-Adams University College is located near Newport in the beautiful Shropshire countryside and has been providing the highest standards of scholarly contribution to land-based industries for over one hundred years. The College achieved an outstanding second place in ‘The Times Good Universities Guide 2005’, scoring twenty-three out of a possible twenty-four points and beating more than one hundred British universities. Drake AV (Midlands) has recently completed a number of bespoke installations at Harper-Adams University College, offering ergonomic teaching technology and display solutions across a range of applications. Examples include additional multimedia projection systems for the modern teaching-room & lecture theatre environment, display monitors for digital signage & DVD presentation, video-conferencing suite refurbishment and development of facilities in the hospitality suite |

Here we have continued to introduce a degree of automated control for multimedia projector operation and program source selection. Wall-mounted touch-panels with clearly defined buttons are conveniently placed, providing simple control of projector switching & electric screen operation. The cost/benefit analysis is most favourable and, as a result, we have now completed a number of similar up-grades to existing facilities in addition to those newly-commissioned rooms which have been equipped this year. |

This is a rolling project and systems are being up-graded as time & money allows. We recently installed an illuminated projector control panel in the front bench, to ensure that source switching was kept simple and reliable for all users. |
Here, existing AV facilities required modernising and enhancing to provide multimedia capabilities in this multi-role presentation suite. Our remit was to supply & install a new projector, screen & audio PA system which would be discreet when unused and powerful when required. A Sanyo PLC-XU86 projector was favoured along with yet another IKON AVS Euro-8 Podule controller, this time with brass mount to compliment the décor. |
